Why is volunteering important?
Volunteering gives me a greater sense of purpose and it enables me to give back to the community in which I live. I believe volunteering broadens your sense of community and connectedness to others. Giving of your time not only benefits others, but it also helps you to feel more socially and emotionally healthy. Volunteering keeps me motivated.
How do you envision Service First Initiatives making an impact?
I envision Service First Initiatives making a valuable contribution to the greater Tarrant County community while providing quality programs to our youth, such as mentoring, financial literacy, and scholarship opportunities. I also expect us to be a pivotal resource to other nonprofit organizations.
What do you see as the greatest threat to young men today?
What is the greatest threat to young men today will always be debatable. However, I do believe that there are some critical issues that we should focus on to assist young men in their growth and development. These critical issues are education, mental health, and emotional well-being.
