Built by brothers. Devoted to young men.

Service 1st Initiatives, Inc. was established in August 2016 by the Iota Mu Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. in Arlington, Texas, as a 501(‌c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the future of young men.

OUR STORY

A vision for the most important years.

Under the direction of Omar Roberson, the brothers of Iota Mu Sigma set out to give young men unique opportunities that build wholesome values, leadership skills, education, business sense and social and cultural awareness during the most critical stage of their personal development.

Through the Sigma Beta Club, members learn the importance of serving others, build lifelong friendships and gain meaningful educational and professional opportunities.

Service 1st Initiatives is its own nonprofit organization, affiliated with the Iota Mu Sigma Chapter, its Sigma Beta Club and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

HOW WE WORK

The brain and the muscle.

Service 1st Initiatives and the Iota Mu Sigma Chapter divide the work so every program gets both careful planning and dedicated people.

Service 1st Initiatives

Plans, organizes and structures everything about the Sigma Beta Club, and raises the money that runs the programs and trips and funds the scholarships.

Iota Mu Sigma Chapter

Brothers volunteer to run the programs Service 1st plans and lead the marketing that raises awareness across Arlington.
